Sarah McDermott was raised in Rockford, Illinois and earned her theatre degree from The University of Iowa. She made her film debut in the comedy feature "Splatter: Love, Honor, & Paintball" in which she played the "delightfully vapid receptionist Shyrell" (Bob Saar, The Hawkeye). Sarah has starred in over 15 commercials and her print work has been seen in magazines & stadiums throughout the country. While still continuing her acting training and building her resume, she now resides in Santa Monica and can't get enough of the beach. Sarah loves old musicals, hiking, snail mail, organizing, Judy Garland, and her dear record player.
"Sarah has the true soul of an actor. She brings a unique awareness and sensitivity to any role she inhabits, making her one of the most giving actors I have ever directed. It’s a joy watching her craft a role."
- Brandon Bruce, Artistic Director, Colonial Williamsburg
“Sarah is a consummate professional. Extremely talented and a joy to work with. The biggest problem I ever had with her work was agonizing over what to cut out.”
- Lonnie Schuyler, Director "Splatter: Love, Honor, & Paintball"
